- There are 5 classes which will be held once a week, over the course of 5 weeks, each class lasts 90 minutes. In those 90 minutes there will be time to settle in, relax, talk with other new parents, learn the massage routine and a related topic, hands on practice time, and discussion. There will also be some time before and after class to mingle and make connections with other parents.
Calm, quiet, clean learning environment
- Group classes will be held in Tori's spacious living room. There will be quiet music playing and calm lighting to give the best environment to relax and learn. The living room is thoroughly cleaned before each class and an air purifier and HEPA air filter will be in use. Tori does have 3 cats in her home, they will not be in the room while classes are in session, however if you have a sensitivity or allergy to cats, Tori recommends attending one of the individual classes, which are held in a separate space.
2oz bottle of oil
- At your first class you will be provided a 2oz bottle of organic avocado oil to use in class and take home. The bottle is easily pourable and refillable. If you or your baby are not able to use avocado oil you can talk to Tori to find a suitable replacement.
Digital and printed handouts
- After every class Tori will email you digital handouts of the information covered that day. In addition to that at your final class Tori will give each family a printed packet which includes all the handouts as well as other useful resources.
Attendance of 2 adults
- While Tori understands that families come in all shapes and sizes, this class is limited on space and can only accommodate 2 adults per family. That being said please reach out to Tori with requests of additional adults as there may be wiggle room with each class. Tori is also limited in the adults she may teach, each adult must be in close relation to the infant in attendance; Parents, grandparents, siblings, other full time guardians or caregivers.

- Each class has room for 4 families, 2 adults and 1-2 babies.
1 makeup class
- It is important to attend all classes but Tori understands the postpartum period can be chaotic and overwhelming at times, so included in your package is 1 free make up class, which can be used in the event that you miss a scheduled class. This class can be done in person or over zoom. Any additional makeup classes can be purchased for $80 each.
Use of: Floor chairs, massage mats, pillows, and dolls
- During class Tori will provide all the tools needed for comfortable and safe massage practices and set you up with the resources to find or acquire what you need to continue your practice at home.
What will the group class look like?
For each class the doors will open about 15 minutes early giving time to mingle with other parents and settle in, we will then start with time to introduce yourself and a simple and fun icebreaker question.
From there we will follow the babies leads, there will be time for learning the massage techniques for that week, information of a related topic, discussion time for parenting and baby topics, and time to ask questions. We will generally go off of our babies temperaments to determine the order of things. If your baby is asleep or prefers not to be massage at that time there will be a baby doll available for you to practice on, the dolls will also be available for additional adults to practice on while baby is already being massaged.
Most of the time infant massage is done while babies are naked, Tori will provide water proof mats for use during class in the case of any accidents. Babies are also welcome to be massaged with clothes or just a diaper on if that is preferred.
